gud day! I would like to ask regarding to your application for passport. I have my nbi, bir, my id when i was in college because i am already a graduate last march. Hi, your ID in college was one of valid identification card requirements at DFA. All of your requirements are good, please also include your NSO birth certificate..

I went to DFA Macapagal, the new site of DFA, to apply for passport, I waited for almost 2 months because I applied online first and I chose a date when to apply., On the day of my application, I waited for almost 2 hours and at first it was okay since I really wanna have a passport so i could try to apply abroad,When it was already my turn, I showed all of my requirements to the man on the counter, I brought my NSO birth certificate, NBI, even cedula, my Red cross I.D and Postal I.D, but the man said my two I.D's weren't acceptable..I was shocked and until now confuse, why he didn't accept my postal I.D?, my exact address, citizenship and etc. are there,almost all of the important informations about me are there.And I didn't like the way he talked, he asked me if I have SSS, I said none because I haven't work yet,then asked me again if I have BIR,I said none and then he asked me for Voter's I.D and then again I said NONE in a nice way and he said "Oh my!, Why you don't have Voter's I.D? See, You don't even care about your being Filipino,Then I cannot give you a passport!" he told me that not in a nice way, and he kept on insisting that I can use my school I.D, but I told him I am not a student anymore, I graduated two years ago and I don't even have my school I.D anymore.

I know I also have fault because I'm already 24 years old and still don't have voter's I.D,but I have my own reason why I couldn't register and I lost my School I.D, but I'm not applying for student's passport...What I didn't like, he didn't entertain me nicely and i was asking him what are the other valid I.D's and he said, School I.D, Year book,that was all he said..so I need to register again online and wait for another 2 months just to have passport... :(

Thanks for reading my post guys! to the recent comment. Yes. Postal ID, Red Cross, NBI even Cedula were not acceptable. Sad to hear that but thats true. We experienced that too. When my boyfriend showed the Postal Id, NBI for abroad, etc. and still failed.

somebody help me please,, i'll go to DFA on November 2,, The requirements that i have here are NBI,NSO birth certificate, PRC I.D and Baptismal form,do you think those are acceptable? ....and Is form 137 same with TOR? and can I still present my highschool I.D or my I.D that i used during my review for NLE board coz I've already lost my college school I.d....and lastly, can I present my Baptismal form even though it is old? I mean the paper looks like antique and every information is hand written. I need your comments on my post please...thanks...

sorry if makulit pero gusto ko lang clarify:

1) di ba talaga inaaccept ang postal ID as a valid ID? pero as secondary ID, pwede sya right?

2) how about company ID? I've seen in other posts that it is accepted as a valid ID, but in this post, hindi sya valid ID?

I also need help - anong ID ang mabilis makuha? And ang student driver's license ba ay macoconsider na valid ID?

by experience po.. Hindi po siya tinanggap kahit as secondary ID.

Company ID hindi din po siya valid. Again.. by experience po.. Original ID i.e. Senior Citizen's ID, Voter's ID, digitized government-issued IDs like SSS, PRC, BIR, Driver's License, original school ID (for students only).

Kumuha kame ng Postal meron kameng company ID pero hindi nila tinanggap.

Driver's license is VALID. :)

so far ayan un pinaka main requirements po talaga ung NBI di naman hinanap sakin.

And be sure that you already have all your requirements photocopy because mahal un photocopy dun at di lang siya mahal MAHABA PO ANG PILA......................

Hi I am australian ...I think Philippines is the most cruelest country I have ever dealt with reference citizens obtaining a passport....My girl friend is going through hell. She took 6 months to get a Birth cert. Got a drivers licence, did police checks, But has no job so no job ID. Has no school ID as she left 16 years ago. Hi I'm Raymond, 18 and I need to apply a passport for exchange student program requirement but as of now i only have NSO Birth Certificate and a university id. Will the two suffice? Nababasa ko kasi we need two valid ID. I'm still a student. by the way a friend of mine showed her univ ID and Postal ID she passed naman. Hindi kaya pwede pag student na kahit school ID lang talaga. Hello po, based on our experience di po nila tinanggap ung NBI as ID and ung POSTAL. NSO Birthcertificate po talaga at isang valid ID.. Sa mga valid ID's po school ID ko sa TUP ung nakapagpa-proceed sakin.. Wala din po akong voter's id..

Kung me SSS ID po kayo mas better po at Drivers License kesa sa NBI at Postal..

pano yan wala aqng sss or drivers licence....pwede na kaya ung voters ko pero d pa xa id.....

hello pips, ung sa philhealth ID po di ko lang po sure if acceptable po siya.. basta ulit po prepare po kayo ng NSO and 1 valid ID ok na po yun. Sa mga ID's po nagkakatalo eh.. make sure din po na napa-photocopy niyo na po lahat ng documents niyo pagpunta niyo po sa DFA Aseana.

hi ganito naman experience ko last august 3 i went to DFA dala dala requirements ko, NSO Birth Cert, Marriage Cert, Postal ID, Police Clearance aun di nga naprocess ang application ko. Sabi nung nag attend saken balik daw ako mag secure daw ako NBI clearance old school ID or yearbook pwede ipprocess na daw ako dn. However, di ko makuha ang NBI clearance ko dahil sa magulong sistema ng NBI dito samin sa Tarlac. Pero meron nako nung pinapadala niya plus my TOR and voter's certification. ok na ba un?

dalin mo school id mo kahit expired na. ako nag abala akong kumuha driver's license, nbi clearance, bir id, postal id at transcript of record ko para hindi ma deny application ko, ang dami ko kasing naririnig na negative coment sa mga expired na id at tungkol sa mga nadeny na ids ng mga ibang tao. tapos pag punta ko dun sa window ng pag check ng mga id nag experiment ako, pinakita ko lang muna ung lumang school id ko kahit graduate nako. dun palang ok na ok na, approved agad kahit d na nya nakita ung mga iba kong dalang id. samantala ung kabilang window naman sinesermonan ung nag aaply dahil d daw puede mga id na dala nya. bottom line, kahit expired na dalin mo kasi parang depende sa mga mag titingin ng mga id ng mga applicante... pero syempre dapat may back up plan ka, mag dala k padin ng ibang id, at well groomed ka dapat... baka maka tulong hehe

puede cguro student driver's license... nakalagay naman sa site nila driver's license... wala naman qualifications ung driver's license (kung student, non pro o pro) pero ung sakin kasi driver's license non pro. regarding sa school id dapat ung pinaka recent... titignan nila itsura mo dun e.. kung graduate kana dapat ung college id mo, kahit expired na dalin mo kasi may mga nakakalusot... problem ko din dati ung wala akong mga valid id. kumuha ka ng BIR id, madali lang, avail mo sa BIR ung E.O. 98 sec.3. birth cert lang na photocopy hihingin nila tapos konting tanong lang kung bakit kailangan mo tapos ok na. 5 days lang may BIR id kana tapos lagyan mo ng 1x1 pic at palaminate mo. pag andun kana lagi lang naka smile sa mag titingin ng ids mo... kung mag susungit lang dun lalo ka lang mahihirapan. :)

Hindi po valid ang philhealth ID. Hindi rin po valid ang TIN ID. As an alternative, pwede niyo pong dalhin yung TOR at yearbook nung highschool or college. :)

Summarize ko nalang po lahat ng answers sa mga questions dalawa lang po ung pinaka-requirement. NSO Birth certificate and one valid ID plus you can bring other supporting documents, don't forget to have all your documents photocopied also.

Ang mga valid ID's po na hinahanap nila ay ang mga digitized government-issued IDs like SSS, Driver's License. Original ID po (for students) sa case namin nagamit namin ung Old School ID namin.

For my mother: PHILHEALTH CARD, NSO BIRTH CERTIFICATE, NSO MARRIAGE CONTRACT, NBI CLEARANCE, hopefully her VOTER'S ID(HER VOTER'S ID indicates wrong birth place).
For me: COLLEGE ID, NSO BIRTH CERTIFICATE, HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT OF RECORD, BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE, NBI CLEARANCE AND MY HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK.
For my 10 years old brother:NSO BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
Do you think those are enough? Thank you.

we already pass the dfa a while ago...=)(jan 27,2012) first time experience ever. hehe..xD (nakaka-kaba) ang pinaka-requirement lang is NSO at Valid ID (like voters id, school id)... support lang yung ibang hinihingi nila... dipende din kase sa window's yung matapatan nyo kahit complete na yung requirement nyo... yung iba masungit yung iba nmn hindi... God Bless po sa lahat ng mag a-apply para sa passport...pray lang po kayo kay lord.... always double check your documents before leaving your house. ^_^

Nagpunta na din ako sa dfa Dec last year, sad to say, I failed because when they ask me about my valid id, i only had postal id and company id since my sss id is on process pa...hanggang ngayon at October last year pa ko nag apply nun then wala naman akong voters id kasi 2003 pa ko registered voters at di pa yun uso that time ( nalaman ko din na yong voters id-issue lang sa registered voters 2003 above but wala talaga ako nun) They also ask my old school id, fortunately meron ako nun pero may problem kasi ako sa name ko, kulang ng isang letter yong real name ko so syempre hindi ko maipakita ang old school id's ko-Ang iniisip ko kasi, possible ba kong makakuha ng passport kahit old school id lang ang maipakita ko na valid id..As of now, pinapaayos ko pa yung name ko sa nso..almost a month na yun!-:)) I have to wait another 2 weeks tapos sabi sa nso ok daw yun...pag ok na yon, magkakaroon na ko ng nso birth certificate na tama sa documents ko, nbi clearance, voters affidavit, baptismal, old school id's high school and college, transcript of records, year book,

This site helped me a lot coz i was able to prepare all the documents i needed for my passport application yesterday (March 22, '12). F.Y.I. it is POSTED IN DFA that VALID IDS include PRC, OLD OR NEW SCHOOL, DRIVER'S LICENSE, SSS, COMPANY, and VOTER'S; NOT VALID are TIN, POSTAL, and PHILHEALTH. good thing i have PRC and old school to present.
but unlucky to my bestfriend, she only has postal id, baptismal certificate, E1 (coz her SSS ID is still on process), and NBI clearance to present but dfa didn't accept any. she was asked to bring any valid ids or old copy of her NBI clearance (year 2009 and below) with the updated one, but how could that be possible if for any person who wants to renew their nbi clearance they have to surrender their old copy for them to be able to have the new copy. we called the nbi office if it is possible to get a copy of the old nbi clearance but they said no! goodluck everyone! Hi! Plan ko din kumuha ng passport and ang dami kong nababasa online na narereject sila dahil sa mga ID's na pinapresent nila sa DFA. I already got an application form once, pero dahil sa mga nabasa ko, I cancelled it and took some time to get ID's. Suddenly, ang hirap kumuha ng mga government ID's na digitized. You only need, company ID, school id's (high school and College) then a birth certificate will do. Nag apply kasi ako last week lang and now am waiting na for my passport delivery on May 14. Ang dami kong dinala na requirements kasi at yan lang ang kinuha sa akin...(school id's(high school and college), TOR, voter's affidavit, NBI clearance, baptismal certificate, diploma, birth certificate, postal id, company id, year book--yan ang mga inihanda ko, hahaha!

I was there at DFA Aseana this morning, And I found out that my TIN and Postal ID was not a valid IDs. I was shocked kc mas valid p pla ung High School ID. (Dala ko din kanina ung TOR, Baptismal, NBI Local and Abroad, COMELEC Voters Certification) Sinulat nung girl na nasa Counter ung dapat qng dalhin.

Ako iba naman experience ko sa renewal ng passport ko. Kaninang 4pm ang schedule ko. Last week ako nagfile ng appointment Online. Eto ang kwento ko.

I have my old passport, NSO, at original ng authenticated (DFA Red Ribbon) Marriage Certificate. Dala ko din NBI at old company ID. It's so ridiculous when the clerk said palitan ko daw ang name ko sa marriage certificate, kasi dapat maiden name ko ang nakalagay dun. Lahat ng docs ko WIDOW status with last name of late husband. So syempre yun ang gamit kong name. Kailangan ko pa ulitin ng ilang beses sa clerk , nag asawa ako WIDOW at lahat ng documents ko before I remarried are all with last husband family name. I did not request any change name nung namatay asawa ko, so when I remarried Documents submitted to the municipal hall etc have his family name on it. Now it is going to be a different name kasi legally married na ako ulit (Swedish husband's family name). Dun nya lang highlight with her marker pen ang status WIDOW sa marriage certificate ko. Parang hindi nagbabasa at hindi nya alam kung anong requirements ng DFA para magpa Red Ribbon ng documents. It's so annoying, taga DFA pa naman sila.

So I submitted for attachment mismong DFA Red Ribbon document ko with NSO Marriage Certificate, my NSO Birth Certificate, photo copy ng old passport ko at photocopy ng company ID.

Next step "Proceed to Payment" , then Step 3 was encoding at photo capture. Buti naman meron na silang camera at hindi ka na magdadala ng photo (dati yun naman ang reason for decline) After encoding,tapos na. Madali lang ngayon process, medyo masalimuot lang talaga ang screening ng ID requirement.

I hope this would help our married kababayans na magrerenew ng passport nila.
To be continue sa experience ng mga anak ko as first time applicants.

Hello Marvin, salamat sa kwento at update about sa mga valid requirements ng DFA sa ngayon. Hindi ko lang alam paano pag ung old school ID pero undergraduate. Dati kasi samin may old school ID kame tas sinamahan nalang din namin ng TOR just in case pero di naman kame hinanapan talagang university ID lang ng school okay na, hirap kasi kumuha ng SSS Id nung time na yun.

I have my postal I.D but i think this is not valid . Hi Glaiza does it matter for how long you have been graduated? To use school id?.. I am 6yrs graduate but I never had any government id for I worked online since then.

Just try, kame po 1 year lang ung span.. Why don't you apply for SSS Id..
