Tomorrow is the first day in uni of my youngest brother Oscar. He is taking BS Computer Science at Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City. And because I'm far away I decided to write down some tips and advices for him and to all students out there.

1. Wake up early, go to school early, leave early and sleep early
   Gumising ng maaga, pumasok sa eskwelahan ng maaga, umalis sa room ng maaga at matulog ng maaga ito ang una ko sa listahan because this is the start of the day. If you start your day early you can plan your day's schedule. This will also avoid you rushing on the streets to get jeepneys. Start your day with a thankful heart. Everyday is a blessing.
2. Don't skip your meals, eat breakfast first
   Kumain sa tamang oras at pahalagahan ang agahan. Kapag ang estudyante ay nagmamadali na sa pagpasok sa eskwelahan minsan nagiging least priority ang pagkain sa umaga. Please change the habit and make it a priority to eat first your breakfast and don't skip your meals but don't practice overeating in school if you don't want to spend more time in the toilet.
   
   Drink water and avoid soda at all cost practice healthy living while you are young. Eat more vegetables and fruits to feed your mind.
3. Make a list, write down your notes
   Ilista ang lahat ng mahahalagang tips and reminders sa iyong kwaderno or notebook. Importante ito dahil ito magiging guide mo to avoid things left undone. Always get your notepad and pen ready para pag may important tips or reminders ang mga professors ay maisulat mo agad.
4. Check the announcement boards
   Some students might not pay attention to boards on schools but it's important to go out and check. Dito kasi nakapaskil ang mga mahahalagang annoucements, news and updates ng school. Kung minsan dito din nakapost un mga organizations and groups na available like yung mga dancers, singers, arts org etc. Find a group that will push your highest potential, yung mga skills and talents na tinatago mo ilabas mo sa school.
5. Visit the school library
   When I was a student I love staying at the library if I have time not because the room was air-conditioned but because I was reading few notes that catches my attention.
6. Raise your hands
   If you know the answer, raise your hands! Hindi masamang magtaas ng kamay or if mahiyain ka isang subject, isang beses. This will boost your confidence not just in school but if you know something there's no harm saying it. In attending seminars I noticed that those people who raised their hands get the rewards.
7. Do your assignments first
   Bago ka magcomputer or mag-internet make sure you did your homework first para mas marami kang magawa the rest of the day. Kapag may mga questions ka use Google. Take note, Google is your bestfriend.
   Ask questions, if you don't understand, ask. Hindi masamang magtanong lalo na kung kumukuha ka ng impormasyon but of course don't ask silly questions haha :)
8. Take a nap
   Kapag may mga problem solving at di mo masolve agad most especially un mga Math and logic subjects and you think na it consumed all your time na pero hindi mo parin talaga makuha ang sagot take a nap or rest ipahinga mo muna ung utak mo then balikan mo siya ulit makikita mo masasagutan mo na siya. :) Trust me. I'm not sure if this works for you but this works for me. Haha Sometimes if your mind have lots of things hindi ka makakapag-concentrate ng maayos but if nakapagcharge ka na ng brain madali mo nalang yan makukuha.
9. Create a budget, save 1 peso a day
   At early stage make a budget everyday make sure that you know where your money goes and be a smart spender. 
10. Surround yourself with good positive people
    Make sure you have friends that will help you, encourage you more in studies. Friends that values education and families.

The past couple of days has been one of my busiest week but still very thankful and  because of that I want to reward myself a short post here, it's  been a long long time since I write. This is a short post to say Happy Birthday Jessica and Thank you for the friendship, time and happy moments Jess, Emz, April, Ate Badith and EJ.

Jessica is one of my dearest classmate in secondary. I can't forget the day when we are in my fourth year high school she gave me a letter with anime picture and printed it in coloured. Whooa! That time I looked at it as expensive because I can only print in black and white hehe I kept it in my high school stuffs (if only I can take the photo).

She is sweet and thoughtful, my wish for her.. Tadan! May she find her Mr. Right . Currently, she is also an OFW here in Singapore. She lives with our friend Emz and April, most of the time I saw their post on Facebook together and it put smile on my face every time I see them. They are all loving, pretty and true friend. :)

After work we headed to Bugis Junction. We bought Blackforest Cake first at Four Leaves then we went to Purvis Street, Saveur Restaurant. We place a reservation and queue for more than an hour. So while we are waiting we are busy taking pictures for endless group selfie and short talk about investing.

We thought that after queuing outside the resto the food will be serve fast but we ended up wait a little bit longer.  So, to enjoy the night we keep on taking pictures yay! When the foods are served on our table I noticed that portions are small hehe so we order rice to full our stomach but overall we enjoyed our time at Saveur to celebrate Jessica's birthday.

Mag-aapat na taon na akong nagtatrabaho. Dalawang taon ako sa Pinas at dalawang taon na dito sa ibang bayan. May trabaho naman ako pero naisip ko nalang parang may kulang.

#Adulting Hindi pa ako handa.

Hindi pa ako handang sumuko sa trabaho, pumasok sa buhay may pamilya, magkaroon ng bagong responsibilidad. Bukod sa pagiging breadwinner, main source ako ngayon ng aming pamilya. Ang  focus ko lang ay makaraos sa pang araw-araw.

Bakit hindi pa ako handa? Isa lang ang sagot ko, wala akong ipon.

Lumipas ang apat na taon na halos hindi ko nalang namalayan. May naitatabi naman pero may pinaggagastusan din ako. Bumibili ako para sa sarili at kapag may extrang pangangailangan handa ako magbigay. Hindi yun mauubos ubos. Laging may dahilan para gumastos.

Ngayon ko lang naisip ano ba talaga ang kahalagahan ng tinatawag na Savings.

May mga nag-advise naman sakin na mag-ipon. Pero pakiramdam ko kapag sinasabi nilang "Huwag kang bigay ng bigay, gastos ng gastos mag-tabi ka at mag-ipon ka." feeling pakialam niyo ba at mas lalo akong hindi nagiisip sa pera.

"Nak, mag-aral kang mabuti at pagnakatapos ka na sa pag-aaral magkakaroon ka ng magandang trabaho".

'Yun lang talaga ang nasa isip ko noon. Magtapos at magtrabaho sa mga kumpanya, sa ibang bansa. Ng makapagtapos at makapagtrabaho, I became busy saving for short-term goals, bakasyon, bili at bigay. Pag dating ng sweldo ay gastos naman.

Mga linya dati sa isip ko kung bakit hindi ako nag-iipon for long-term

• Pag may pera may pang-gastos
• Darating din ang sweldo sa kinsenas, katapusan
• May pera pa ko anung gagawin ko dito.

Money comes, money goes but we should save to make it grow and invest. Ngayon ko lang naisip ang value ng long-term savings, mga goals para paghandaan ang kinabukasan. Hindi na talaga ako pabata, hindi ko na maibabalik yung time na sana ay nakapagtabi na ako ng para sa sarili ko pero hindi pa naman huli ang lahat sabi nga nila "its' never too late to start".

Sinisimulan ko na ang pag-iipon ngayon. Nakatagpo din ako ng mga kaibigan na nagpapayo sa akin. Hindi pa man ako handang-handa pinaghahandaan ko na ito.

Happy Working Life!

August 1 namin maagang isinelebrate ang kaarawan ni EJ. Kasama namin ang mga kaibigan na naging kaklase namin nong high school. Parang kelan lang ng kame ay mga high school pa sa New Era at ngayon ay magkakasama naman naghahanap buhay dito sa SG.

At ngayong August 2 birthday na ni EJ koy. Agahan namin ang natirang spageti at lumpia kahapon sayang at hindi ko nakunan ng litrato ang mga pagkain ganundin ang mga cakes na regalo nila April, Emz at Jessica. May mga pictures naman ngunit nasa phone at medyo may kalabuan.

Nag vegetables and fish naman kame kaninang dinner at sinurpresa ko si Jey ng cake from Breadtalk. Meron akong munting regalo kay Jey pero sikreto na muna ung naging regalo ko sa kanya dahil wala din akong litrato sa UNIQLO ko nabili. Hihi :)

Dear God,

Please bless EJ, for today is his birthday.

Please protect and guide him as he continues along the path You’ve chosen for him. Give him the courage to follow in your light, and feel your love wherever he goes.

Make him strong and give him the strength to make good decisions in the coming years. Keep him free from illness and sadness, bless him for he is a truly good person who deserves happiness and success in all aspects of life.

He's been more than a boyfriend, soulmate and a perfect partner to me. Not everyone is as lucky as we are to have good and strong relationship. With him I feel beautiful, comfortable and very happy. We are going 8 years now and I thank you God that we met and we are together now.

For all EJ's families, relatives and friends God I thank you for the time they gave for greetings and messages.

God, may You continue to bless EJ now on this day, and in the future.
